Beloved Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.
Stateside actor Finn, who featured in beloved programs such as Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has passed away at 60 years old.
The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, according to reports.
"Pat never met a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his family stated in a message.
They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".
An Extensive TV Career
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he played the lead character's sibling.
He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a party host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on several well-known programs, including:
- King of Queens
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- "House"
His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe called Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat taught, supported, and inspired many learners throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find a person who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.
In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he shared online.
Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
